Why a prototype and 3D model

A prototype and 3D model (CAD) let you see and test a piece before serial production starts. This avoids costly errors across a batch and lets you consciously approve look, weight and stone setting. It is the standard first stage of professional production.

How the CAD model is created

We create the model from a sketch, photo, coat of arms or description. The designer watches production parameters: wall thickness, tolerances, weight and settings. We also accept the client's ready STL files. A good model means fewer corrections and a predictable cost.

Types of prototype

We most often make a resin print (fast, to assess form) or a trial metal cast (to assess weight and finishing). The prototype is for approval before the series — the moment we finalise details and give a binding unit price.

Design ownership

Rights to the finished CAD design pass to the client — your design stays yours. The model flows seamlessly into custom production or private label without changing supplier.

How long and how much

Time depends on complexity — from a few days to two weeks for a model plus prototype. Model and prototype preparation is quoted individually, separately from production, as it is a one-off cost spread across the series.
