Silver, gold, titanium, brass — how to choose a material for jewelry

Choosing the metal for a collection is a decision about price, look, durability and target group. An everyday brand has different priorities than a premium or men's line. It is worth weighing the material budget, expected durability and positioning before you set fineness and finish. We produce in silver, gold, titanium, brass and bronze.

925 silver is the most popular choice: good price, versatile look, easy to work. As standard we rhodium-plate it for a durable shine or gold-plate it (vermeil). It needs basic care, as it naturally tarnishes.

Gold is the premium segment: 585 (14K) for everyday jewelry, 750 (18K) for premium and engagement. Yellow, white and rose colours depend on the alloy. The metal cost is high, so gold is usually produced from entrusted material.

Titanium is a modern niche: very light, durable and hypoallergenic, with colours from anodising. Great for men's jewelry, wedding bands and products for allergy sufferers. It needs specialist processing, which we have in-house.

Brass and bronze are base metals for masters, costume jewelry and decorative elements, often with a plated coating. They give a low cost with a good look, but have no metal value or assay mark like silver or gold.
